What are Immune Support Supplements?

What Does an Immune System Support Supplement Contain?
All of our immune support supplements contain Streptococcus salivarius K12 (BLIS K12™), a strain of bacteria that supports the immune system.
It is naturally present in the body and resides within the oral cavity, but it's thought that just 2 to 5% of the population have concentrations high enough to be effective.
Some of our products also contain supporting ingredients that complement the probiotics for a more holistic approach.
For instance, Honey BLIS contains the highly sought-after Manuka and Kamahi honey, two of NZ's finest exports. These ingredients are praised for their antiseptic and antibacterial qualities and have a soothing effect on the throat. Honey BLIS lozenges don't contain any artificial colours or flavourings—just great honey and potent probiotics.

It depends on the product strength and type, as well as the needs of the person taking it. Most of our immune support NZ supplements provide the best results when taken once or twice a day, but they can be taken up to 4 times a day.
There are various signs, including frequent infections, chronic tiredness, high stress, and lots of digestive issues. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should consult with a medical professional to rule out other issues.
Probiotic supplements go a long way to supporting your immune health, but there are other things you can do. Eat well, drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and exercise. It also helps to add more fibre and fermented foods to your diet while avoiding cigarettes and alcohol.
As the body doesn't produce it's own probiotics, it relies on food and supplementation. You can eat fermented foods (kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut, natural yoghurt, kefir) or take probiotic supplements.
